Beauty smoothie recipes to give you that GLOW!

In order for our skin to thrive and get that perfect healthy glow it is important to focus on what we put in our body as well as what we put on it. Fruit and vegetables are your go to if you want to supercharge your body with all the nutrients and vitamins to give you that boost of energy and a beautiful complexion. A great way to get all those vitamins in one go is to create a delicious beauty smoothie! Smoothies are healthy, yummy and super easy to make. Just grab a blender and whip up one of our favourite smoothie recipes that we have listed below. Your skin will thank you for it!

Strawberry Delight

You might be surprised but strawberries actually contain more Vitamin C per serving than other citrus fruits like oranges or lemons. Vitamin C makes this smoothie 'oh so good' for your skin as it increases collagen production and decreases the appearance of wrinkles, making your skin smooth and firm.

· 1 cup of strawberries
· 1 pear
· 1 orange
· 1 cup almond milk (try vanilla flavour)
· 1 cup ice
· Coconut flakes

Super Green Smoothie

This smoothie is a perfect way to sneak some leafy green things into your diet! This smoothie is extra creamy and sweet, you won’t even taste the greens! The fatty acids in avocados help reduce the inflammation of the skin, while spinach has great antioxidant properties, cleansing your skin from the inside out!

· 1 frozen banana
· Half an avocado
· Handful of spinach
· ¼ cup vanilla almond milk (you can add extra vanilla for a sweeter taste)
· Pinch of cinnamon

Vitamin Bomb

This smoothie lives up to it’s name and makes a perfect and filling breakfast or snack! The berries in this recipe act as antioxidants, protecting your skin from the sun’s rays and keeping it looking young and even. The Omega-3 fatty acids found in flaxseeds also decrease the redness and inflammation of the skin. Feel free to add some honey for extra sweetness.

· ½ cup blueberries
· ¼ cup raspberries
· 2 tsp flaxseeds
· ¼ cup strawberries
· 1 cup 0% fat greek yogurt
· ¼ cup water

Tropical Glow

This delicious fresh smoothie is full of tropical fruits that give your skin that perfect glow. The coconut water in this recipe is a true powerhouse. High in electrolytes and Vitamin C it hydrates your skin, keeping it healthy and young. Thanks to pineapple, this smoothie also acts as an antioxidant, which reduces the signs of aging such as wrinkles.

· Half an avocado
· 1 cup of pineapple
· 1 cup of kale
· 1 cup of coconut water
